Hi! My name is Danilo Freire. I'm a PhD candidate in the Department of Political Economy at King's College London with a thesis on organised crime in Latin America. My thesis supervisor is Professor David Skarbek.
My main topics of interest are prison gangs, civil wars, political violence and criminal groups. I'm also interested in research methods, mainly in causal inference designs, Bayesian data analysis, machine learning, analytical sociology, and agent-based models. You can read my published articles and working papers in the research section of this website.
